Happy Birthday to Us!

Veritas will soon be 5 years old!

we are going to be ‘V’ join us for the fun

Again...we are getting ready for a Birthday!  Now we are five – which is really cool because the Roman Numeral for 5 is a capital “V” as in Veritas!

Again...to celebrate – we will be having an entire week of celebration from Tuesday, September 22nd  through Sunday, September 27th .

Again... throughout our week-long celebration we will focus on all three aspects of Veritas’ – our Shop – our Wine Store and our Café & Wine Bar

Each of the three nights of Wine Bar the menu will be filled with all the wonderful options our customers have come to expect from Veritas.  In addition, each day we will add five versions of one of your favorite foods. Thursday -  Shrimp; Friday - Oysters and Saturday - Crab.  Imagine – the terrific Veritas Wine Bar menu topped off by 5 fabulous versions of shrimp one evening – 5 different and delicious preparations for oysters the next and finally 5 separate Veritas crab dishes!  AND to insure our 5th Birthday is something to remember we have scheduled live music at each of our three Birthday Wine Bars!

Join us for any or all of the Birthday celebrations but don’t miss the party that is perfect for a 5 year old – we are sharing Cake and Ice Cream with all our friends on Sunday afternoon – stop in between 2 and 4 – we’ll be here making sure everyone knows how much we appreciate your support.  David will have wine available to drink by the glass and the Schlafly’s will certainly be ready to pour.

French Cooking Classes at Veritas with Chef Andy Wittmer

Three consecutive Wednesdays: Sept, 23rd & 30th and Oct. 7th

This series will be based on learning to prepare a complete French dinner. The first class will teach participants to make the main course of a fabulous French meal.  The second class will focus on the appetizers – which could easily be meals by themselves - and the third class will arm your personal cooking arsenal with three different French desserts.  Like all Veritas cooking classes, each of these will teach you all aspects of preparing the dishes.  Andy will teach the specific techniques, explain rationale behind choosing the ingredients and go step by step through the printed recipes that each person will take home.  The class will end with a tasting of the prepared foods and an opportunity to purchase a glass or two of wine if you like.  There will be ample time for questions and explanations of each step.

The classes will be held on three consecutive Wednesdays, starting on September 23rd.  Reservations are required and limited to 12 people in each class. You may sign up for one or two of the classes at the ‘per class’ price or sign up for all three at a 15% discount.  Call the shop at 636 530-9505 or return this e-mail to reserve your spot.

Wine and other beverages will be available at Market Price.  This is a great idea to entertain clients or spend some time with a group of old friends.
